Actor Joel Kinnaman, best known for his roles in the TV show For All Mankind, House of Cards, and in the Suicide Squad film series, has married model Kelly Gale at the Burning Man festival. Burning Man, which takes place in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, began this year on Aug. 25 and ended Monday. The famous festival brings together people from all different backgrounds to participate in an off-the-grid week full of art and music. The Victoria’s Secret model gave followers a look at their ceremony in a video and photos posted Tuesday. “Always been soulmates. Husband & Wife returning from the playa,” Gale captioned her post. In the snaps, Kinnaman can be seen wearing a long white flowy jacket while Gale donned a long skirt and veil. Gale previously announced their engagement on Instagram in January 2021. The couple celebrated their five-year anniversary back in February. Kinnaman was previously married to Cleo Kinnaman, a Los Angeles-based tattoo artist. They divorced in 2018.

Hillary Clinton was apparently one of the many DNC attendees to come down with COVID-19. The former secretary of state skipped a fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris in the Hamptons, where she was scheduled to speak, and sent husband Bill in her stead, alongside second gentleman Doug Emhoff, reported Page Six.

The event was held at Sag Harbor in the home of art collectors Lisa and Richard Perry. According to its invitation, the highest tier of tickets went for $100,000 each and teased, “This is likely to be one of the last small events in the NY area before the election, so it is not to be missed.” A source told Page Six about Clinton’s no-show, “They don’t have to show at these things.” There was another Democratic fundraiser at the home of MikeWorldWide chief Michael Kempner earlier in the day. Page Six says the two events combined are expected to bring in more than $2 million.

Give Your Water Heater a Longer Life With This Powered Anode Rod

Do you own a water heater? When was the last time you checked its anode rod? No, that’s not a magical device: it’s an important part of your water heater. Usually, an anode rod needs to be replaced every one to two years. But this powered anode rod from Corro-Protec lasts up to twenty years.

Why is this skinny, cylindrical object so important? In a word: rust. These tanks are a punishing environment. The combination of water, heat, and metal is the perfect recipe for corrosion. An anode rod slows this process down. Over time, the rod—usually made of aluminum, zinc alloy, or magnesium—erodes, releasing electrons into the water to combat and prevent rust. This is why traditional anode rods need to be replaced so frequently; they’re literally made to break down.

The Corro-Protec rod is different. It’s made from stainless steel and titanium, making it much more effective than factory-installed rods. Setting up the Corro-Protec rod takes just twenty minutes. Simply remove the old anode rod from its port and replace it with the Corro-Protec. Then plug it in to the nearest outlet (the cable is 12 feet long) and you’re good to go. In addition to fighting rust, this anode rod removes the smell of rotten egg or sulfur in hot water, reduces sediment accumulation, and maximizes energy efficiency.

Vivek Ramaswamy, the MAGA-aligned presidential candidate who ended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump after coming in a distant fourth in Iowa, has landed his own show on Fox Nation, Fox News’ streaming service arm. All five episodes of Truths with Vivek Ramaswamy, which seems to take its name from both Trump’s social media platform and his own upcoming book Truths: The Future of America First, are set to premiere Sept. 22. According to Ramaswamy, the show will feature “provocative dinner table conversations that we rarely have in our country anymore” featuring a roundtable of guests that include his wife, Apoorva Ramaswamy, journalist Matt Taibbi, and Rabbi Shmully Hecht. “We are excited to launch this new series showcasing Mr. Ramaswamy’s thoughtful and unique perspective on the state of American politics after his meteoric rise over the last year,” Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson said in a statement. Despite that “meteoric rise” among the MAGA faithful, Ramaswamy failed to garner tangible support during his race for the GOP nomination, at one point announcing that he would not be attending a primary debate for which he had not qualified.

Apple Reportedly Exploring Home Robots in Search for ‘Next Big Thing’

A robot butler could be in your future—Apple, Inc. is looking into development of personal robotics for use inside the home, Bloomberg reported. The tech giant is pursuing two at-home robot projects, according to people close to the efforts: a mobile robot that can navigate around people’s homes, and a robotics-powered tabletop device that can move displays around. The move is reportedly part of an effort to take advantage of recent major gains in artificial intelligence and reflects the company’s stated desire to expand its development of products used within the home. But it’s unclear if and when these products will be released—Apple hasn’t committed to either of them and still considers them to be in the “early research” phase, according to Bloomberg. It recently scrapped plans for an electric vehicle, apparently tabling efforts to tap into the auto market, and it has removed and re-added the robotic smart display from its long-term plans over the years, sources said.

Hugh Jackman Makes Public Plea for Missing Broadway Star

Hugh Jackman is asking fans for help to find an actor and dancer who previously starred in Broadway’s Hamilton and MJ: The Musical. “Please… if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of ZELIG WILLIAMS, please reach out to your local authorities,” Jackman posted on his Instagram story on Friday. According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Zelig Williams, 28, was last seen leaving his mother’s home in South Carolina on Oct. 3. His car was spotted driving around Congaree National Park after he was reported missing, leading investigating authorities to his car, which was found near the entrance to the 500-mile Palmetto hiking trail. “Around 9:50 Thursday morning, he left just normally as he would,” Williams’ aunt, Christine McLaughlin Barber, told WACH. “About ten minutes later, we received an SOS ping from his phone from one of his friends in New York, indicating a crash.” However, no evidence of a crash was found. “Words can’t express what our family is going through right now,” wrote McLaughlin Barber in a Facebook post. “Please continue to pray pray pray for Zelig to come home safe. WE LOVE YOU ZELIG.” Jackman added on Instagram, “ZELIG we love you and are praying for your safe return.”

Dad Explains How His Boy, 4, Shattered Museum’s Ancient Jar

Ancient jar shown in pieces.

A 4-year-old boy visiting a museum in Israel accidentally smashed a 3,500-year-old jar. The boy’s father, Alex, told the BBC his son “pulled the jar slightly” because he was “curious about what was inside,” causing it to topple and break. The Bronze Age crockery—which was dated to between 2200 and 1500 B.C.—was notable because of its excellent condition, with similar artifacts typically found broken or incomplete, the Hecht Museum in Haifa told the British broadcaster. It also defended its decision to display the jar close to the museum’s entrance without precautions that might have prevented the accident because “whenever possible, items are displayed without barriers or glass walls.” An official with the museum said a conservation specialist has been given the task of restoring the item, which will be returned to display “in a short time.” Alex said he was “relieved” it will be restored but was nevertheless “sorry” that “it will no longer be the same item.”

A Belarusian man whose bulging muscles earned him the moniker “world’s most monstrous bodybuilder” has died at the age of 36. Illia “Golem” Yefimchyk’s death from a heart attack was announced on the bodybuilding Instagram account @whoisthebestbb. The bodybuilder fell into a coma Sept. 9 and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. “I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” Yefimchyk’s wife, Anna, told Belarusian media. “I thank everyone for their condolences. It’s very heartwarming to realize that I am not left alone in this world, and so many people have offered me help and support.” Yefimchyk was 6 feet tall and weighed 340 pounds. His diet, which at times totaled more than 15,000 calories a day, consisted of seven daily meals, including eating up to five pounds of steak and 100 pieces of sushi.

Known for its celebrity-approved 4-in-1 Skincare Wand, SolaWave is a leader in the ever-expanding red and infrared light therapy beauty tech space. The brand recently launched a full-face LED Light Therapy Face Mask and a Red Light Therapy Eye Mask, which sold out in just 24 hours after being released. Finally, the brand restocked the viral eye mask, but stock is selling out quickly once again, and, honestly, we understand why. While there are plenty of red light therapy masks on the market today, there aren’t many beauty tech devices harnessing the modality that specifically targets the delicate (and often overlooked) eye region. SolaWaves’s FDA-cleared eye mask is engineered with a blend of red (630nm), amber (605nm), deep red (660nm), and infrared (880nm) LED lights that work to soften fine lines and crow’s feet, depuff eye bags, erase hyperpigmentation and discoloration and lift sagging skin in just three minutes daily.

SolaWave Recovery Eye Mask

Unlike other devices, SolaWave’s is designed with medical-grade silicone to mold to the contours of the orbital region and adjustable velcro straps for a bespoke fit (and better penetration). Plus, the hands-free eye mask is lightweight and foolproof to use, so you can efficiently work, walk, watch TV, or do chores during the quick treatment, which means you’ll actually use it. If you’re looking for a powerful LED device that addresses the eye region like nothing else on the market (or are trying to push back quarterly Botox appointments), grab one of SolaWave’s Red Light Therapy Eye Masks now before they sell out again.

Vance Weighs in on Military Shortfalls After Arlington Drama
TIMING IS KEY
Updated 09.11.24 12:16PM EDT
Published 09.04.24 1:30PM EDT

JD Vance, in a Fox News interview with Laura Ingraham on Tuesday, claimed that military recruiting shortfalls will worsen under a Kamala Harris administration because “nobody wants to put on a uniform and serve in Kamala Harris’ military.” The vice president, as he framed it, “is a person who wants the United States Army to be about gender inclusion, ridiculous diversity politics instead of about serving your country and uniting together as Americans to serve on the same team and defend your nation.” A second Donald Trump administration, on the other hand, would spur an influx of new recruits, Vance insisted. “We know that we can have a strong military. We just need strong leadership, Laura, and I think if we want to fix that recruitment problem, the best thing we can do is reelect Donald J. Trump. People trust his leadership.” Trump’s visit last week to Arlington National Cemetery, a military cemetery, spurred controversy after his campaign filmed in an area that prohibited it. In addition, a member of his camp got physical with a staffer there, who later declined to press charges reportedly because she feared retaliation from Trump supporters. According to Vance, though, Trump did nothing wrong, and that story was ginned up by “the media.”
